Early January 2003

Finally finished, tested, legal, on the road - worth every hour of the 2 years it's taken.

29th November 2002

Took the SVA test today - a fail but nothing too serious. A new section - SVA, etc.

27th October 2002

I've applied for the SVA test now - time for the collywobbles to set in.

I've now fitted the seats, seatbelts and started putting on the padding and trim ready for the test. All in the Body Section.

13th October 2002

Finished the dash, fitted the aeroscreen, and fitted the rear cover. All in the Body Section.

28th August 2002

Finished the exhaust and started to fit the aeroscreen. Have a look in the body section.

18th August 2002

Finally finished the rear lights. See the Electrics Section.

23rd June 2002

Fitted a horn and front lights. Electrics Section.

It looks like this from the front. Body Section. (Oh, and I fitted a grill as well.)

The front wings got beaten into submission. Body Section.

Another long break - mumbles apologies and huddles over the keyboard - Sorry Folks.

I've got the silencer almost fitted. The bracket is being painted at the mo, but that's no reason not to prop it up with wood for the photo. Body Section

Had a bash at the rear lights, fitted the headlight brackets, and modified the fog light mount. Electrics Section.

Also had a little tinker with the front wing mounts. Body Section

Finally, I had a run-in with the brakes which didn't want to play ball.

Had a trip to Stoneleigh. Picked up some bits and pieces for 'Tigger' (Well, what else can you call a black and orange Tiger ?) Met a few other owners as well. Nice to put faces to names.

23rd Mar 2002

Got the bonnet and nose cone fitted, at last,and done most of the interior trim. In the 'body' section.

Also wired the battery up properly and fitted the cut-off switch - see the electrics.

5th Jan 2002

The engine is running now. It was a bit of a bumpy road, but got there in the end.
Also fitted a nice shiney bit of trim where the exhaust goes through the body.

It's been a while since I updated the site - sorry folks. I upgraded the computer, and then couldn't find the WebExpress CD, and then just never got round to updating the site.

Anyway, I've got the body fixed in place now. Fitted the rear wings, fitted the front suspension, finished the brakes and done a bit of work on the dash (we'll call this electrics for the sake of organisation) and finally sorted out a problem with the steering.

It's been a while since the last update for two reasons. Firstly I've been decorating so haven't done that much to the car, and secondly, most of the work has been itty bitty little jobs that take ages but don't look as if you've done much.
I've finished the engine bay, got the pedals fitted and various other odds & ends done. The chassis is now ready to take the engine. The handbrake is fitted as well.

12th Aug 2001

The engine is back in again - permanently (I hope !)
I've put most of the wiring loom in round the engine, (the Tiger loom, I haven't done much with the Webcon loom yet)
The gear linkage is done and I'm almost ready to put the body on.
Had a minor problem with the fuel pump.

22nd July 2001

The engine has come out again. I've made a dust shield for the front of the bell housing and fitted the clutch. It's all in the engine section. I've also clipped in a bit more of the wiring loom, but that's too boring to take photos of. (Alright, it handly to see the route the loom takes, but I forgot to take a photo - OK ! Next time !)

The gearbox and engine have gone in. This is just to drill for the engine mounts. They'll have to come out again to fit the clutch and do a few other odds & ends.

2nd July 2001

Got the handbrake working at last. Put the car down on it's wheels and had it's first outing. See the photo gallery. It wasn't too difficult to lift the car off the tressels but it needed two people. Andy, my neighbour helped. We also needed to people to move the tressels and put sxle stands under the car. In stepped Jin and Dawn, Andy's wife. (Dawn will be pleased - she's famous now !)

More or less finished the rear end. Done the front suspension. Working on the hand brake. Had a bash at the steering.

Got the DeDion unit in place. See the rear suspension section. Also a few words in the brakes section.

Started work on the rear suspension, and a bit on the electrics.

A bit more work on the chassis.

The chassis has already been waxoled.
The brake and fuel pipes have been clipped in place.

The chassis has been painted a the brake & fuel pipes have been shaped.
